- I am a Louisiana girl who spent several childhood years in Southern California and now love living in the Midwest. I have a Masters of Library and Information Science and am currently working on my license to become a teacher-librarian. Sometimes I still harbor fantasies of being a famous researcher and finding a never before discovered manuscript by Jane Austen. In the past 6 years, children's and young adult literature has replaced classic literary reading. Too bad the stereotype about librarians spending all day reading is untrue...
